Wessex Land & Estates has been trading since 1996 and specialises in retail, residential and mixed use development predominantly in the South East of England. The company is principally a developer & investor, funding acquisitions by raising equity through joint venture partnerships, bank & mezzanine finance or direct development with property companies and financial institutions. During this time we have successfully concluded more than £50 million of development transactions with a host of multiple retail occupiers and remain extremely active in the market.
Developments undertaken have ranged from single unit refurbishments to wholesale redevelopments of multi-use, multi-let buildings across different sectors including listed buildings, properties of special interest, food stores, trade counters, roadside retail, residential, mixed use, public houses, restaurants & convenience stores.
Wessex has a proven track record in creating exceptional property assets by enhancing the value of under-performing properties through planning, asset management and development initiatives and unlocking latent investment value to create institutional grade assets for sale and investment.
The company has particular expertise in negotiating valuable planning consents and listed building permissions and working with joint venture partners, investors and a trusted selection of expert consultants to ensure that the development and construction processes progress on time and budget to mitigate risk and optimise profits.
